A month and a half has flown by and so much has changed. I'm standing on my own now and also have taken a keen interest in the piano as the picture shows. Last Sunday I even got to ride a pony before church! That was really exciting. I've been making lots of new friends at daycare, and picking up lots of germs to boot!
I turned nine months old yesterday, and I can't believe that time is flying so quickly. Soon enough I'll be able to drive ... well, at least a tractor if we end up living on some acreage like dada wants. Then maybe I can have my own pony! That and some goats. Dada wants goats, even though mama and I don't understand his near maniacal obsession with them. I've never even seen a goat.
Spring is almost here, and won't it be great once it is? Then we can take some trips up to Bear Mountain and the surrounding area. Unfortunately we won't get to go see my cousin Zoe until mid-April, and I can't wait to meet her.
I must be having a blood sugar low, because I just can't think of anything else right now. I hope everyone is well, and dada promises the pony pictures will be up soon!

It's been a long while since I've had anything to say, I guess, but I thought it about time to give you all an update. Things have been pretty hectic for me of late, what with all the new foods that mommy is introducing and all the new friends I'm getting to meet at daycare. Daddy gets to come and visit me when his job allows it, and I love it when he does. Unfortunately, though, it has led to a constant cold running through our household that I guess won't end until I'm seven. That said, I'm having a great time there and have even said a few words - "hi" and "mama" in particular. I'm sorting out the entire crawling thing, although I'm not quite there yet. I still don't have any teeth, but I'm looking forward to them getting here. Mind you, I think that mom & dad will be sad when I lose my toothless grin.
I'm spending a lot of time sitting up these days too, and while that might not excite any of you, it sure excites me! I've also discovered that my toes are quite tasty, as evidenced by some of the pictures dad put up on here.
We went to North Carolina for Christmas with both the Kling & the Benson clans, and it was great. It was especially nice to see great-aunt Pam and great-uncle Brian who travelled down from Albany to join us for part of the week. We then headed up to Boston for New Years's. It's going to be a great 2008, given that uncle Andy and aunt Susan are expecting my first cousin on leap day! Mind you, not being the center of attention at all of the holidays and family gatherings might take some getting used to ...
Not that many trips are planned outside of the celebration in Yosemite in June and then two weeks with Mimi & Papa in July. We'll see where we have Christmas and Thanksgiving this coming year, although I did overhear mom and dad saying that it might be time for people to come to us, especially as I'll be running around at a million miles a minute by November!

Well, I've been trying to get dad to let me log on between naps so I can update this thing, but he's been pretty strict. Mind you, I haven't been getting the best naps of late. However, it has been a month, and it is about time I update everyone on all that has been going on over the past few weeks.
I've grown a lot and put on some weight, but am still only in the 40th percentile for weight, but 90th for length and head size! Of late I've been dubbed mini-Chewbacca by mom because I've been working on my uvular sounds so much. Now they know what I should have been for Halloween! I've just started eating solid foods, starting out with plain rice cereal which is disgusting ... better when cut with breastmilk. Also, I'm crazy about sweet potatoes. They are so good that I can't help myself but lean forward trying to get the spoon in my mouth faster when I see them coming.
We travelled a lot this month, and will travel even more next. First we flew into Kansas City the Saturday before Thanksgiving and then drove to Ames, Iowa to spend the first part of the week with Great-Grandma Heady. It was fun, and I slept a little better than I do in the city. We saw all of Ames, includng where great-grandma and great-grandpa use to live, Heady Hall, which is named after Great-Grandpa, andlots of other sights. We ended our time there by having dinner on Tuesday night with great-aunt Barb, great-uncle Stan. We then headed to great-uncle Dave's in Kansas City and I had a blast meeting great-uncle Dave cousin Becki and her husband Jeff and his parents and cousin Greg. We missed great-grandpa Paul, but dad assures me we'll make another trip as soon as we can to see him.
The first weekend in December we go to Colorado for a short trip, and I'll get to meet even more cousins and then for the holidays it is off to Papa & mimi's, with grandma and grandpa and the rest of the clan coming out to as well. It should be a great time, and I can't wait to meet uncle Nick and spend more time drooling on everyone. Then I get to bring in the new year with Uncle Andy & Aunt Susan!
Whew! I'm exhausted just thinking about it, and it is about nap time again, so I'll leave it at that. I hope all of my disappointed ... er, I mean faithful readers are well and I wish you and yours a happy happy holiday season - safe travel to all and to all a good nap!

Well, Grandma just left (she came in for mommy's birthday), and now I'm hanging out on my playmat shouting out to the world. Not much to report from the passt few weeks. I've put on a few pounds and inches (13.5 lbs, 24.5 inches long) according to the doctor, and I've decided to let my parents feed me with a bottle, which is a huge one. We also went up to Boston last weekend to visit Uncle Andy and Aunt Susan for dad's birthday.
I'm still spending a lot of time staring at my mirror on the playmat, laughing and talking. I hear mom & dad making all these wierd noises all the time, and I try to imitate them. Daddy's loud. Very very loud.

So, I know I've been a little lax in keeping everyone up to date on the happenings in my world, but I don't think that anyone really reads this thing anyhow. It has been an exciting few weeks, though, although mom & dad have been pretty slack in taking pictures so I have little to show for it. They have, however, added a movie of me with Great-grandma Heady, though. You'll just have to find it! (Which should be pretty easy, since there is a link to my videos on the photo album page.)
I got to spend the evening last night with Auntie Kelley while mom & dad went out to celebrate their 6 month anniversary. I mostly slept. Speaking of sleeping, I'm doing pretty well at night these days; now if only I could get that afternoon nap figured out.
I know, so thrilling, but wait, there is more! I got to go on many walks this week with mom & dad, which was a great time. There are so many interesting things out in the world at which to look! Hopefully I'll be able to document some of these trip sometime soon. Until next time, rest in the knowledge that the secret to life, the universe, everything is 42.

| Well, this picture is actually from September 9th, but I had had my computer privileges taken away after dad had to rebuild the computer due to drool. I've just snuck back on this morning, and I apologize for the delay.
Guess what? I'm three months old today. Time flies when you sleep as much as I do! I almost feel like I'm at a future awards show or something ... "I'd like to thank everyone, even my parents, for getting me here today. They bought the car I drove ... "
I don't really have much else to say today, other than it's way to early for me to be up!

| This was the week of the big train outage in New York City, which meant that dad had to walk nine miles to work, which he did in about two and a half hours. However, it was hot, muggy and rainy as well, so he called mom and asked her to bring a change of clothes to him at work. That meant that I got to go and see where dad works! I also got to meet some really nice people, like Kensey and Bev and Peter and daddy's boss Tucker, to name a few. Unfortunately daddy's friend Heather wasn't there, so I didn't get to meet my future prom date's mom. Next time.
Otherwise it was a pretty dull week for me, although we did get my crib, which dad put together in record time last night. Finally, I have my own room! Well, the living room, but I kicked mom & dad out when it was time for me to go to bed. Next week, I head back to North Carolina, so I'll have plenty of new pictures for August then! I swear!

We had Aunt Joanne here to visit (I know I must be confuring you all with the many relatives I have; just bear with me and someday I'll get a friend and family-tree up!), and it was wonderful to meet her. We went on a walk with mom to Riverside Park, and then we saw dad and Charlie on our way back to the apartment. It seems that Charlie really wanted to go to the Kitty House to see ME! I'm sure that will be a relief to big sis, but still, I hate to see her mope so much. Of course, the Ps assure me that it is just an act, but ...
I've been sleeping a lot of late because I'm growing so much, so not all that much to report this week. We're getting ready to go to Uncle Andy & Aunt Susan's wedding, and it will sure be great to meet some more of the family and as well to see Mimi and Papa again. I'm not so sure about the car ride, but I'll try not to cry too much. Well, that depends on dad's driving!

Well, this seems to be my view of the world these days ... always looking back on mom or dad! It seems I always leave them in my dust.
It has been quite an exciting week for me - I got to see Aunt Kelley three or thirty times this week (you'll have to give me a break, I can't count yet) and of course stayed up late with mom and dad every night. They keep trying to put me to bed earlier, but let me tell you, that's not happening without some good incentives ... and by incentives I mean a milk-induced stupor.
Otherwise it was a pretty uneventful week. Mom took me out to several appointments, and it was hot out there. Haven't they figured out a way to air-condition New York City yet?!? Isn't that one of Mayor Bloomberg's priorities? I mean, forget congestion pricing (noble as it might be, the MTA would just pocket the money and raise our fares anyhow) and work on climate controls! That's just the thought process of an almost six week old, but really ... congestion pricing? How are you going to get elected president on that platform?
Well, dad has jury duty this week, so hopefully I'll get to see him home a little earlier each day. That way I can get him to take more pictures of me being cute. Till next time ...

Oh my goodness! Between the demands you all put on me for keeping this website up-to-date & for new photos and reading the new Harry Potter book online (I mean, who ever thought that that would be how Harry died!), I'm just wiped out.
Fortunately, I have all day today to sleep, as long as I can get dad to leave me alone - you'd think the few hours he gets on the weeknight would be enough for him, but he just sits and stares at me all day long. I tell ya, it's starting to freak me out. He said something the other day about "gotta get her an agent for some modelling gigs," and I'm just loathe to think what he meant by that. I mean, I know I'm cute, but an agent? That's what parents are for: to shamelessly promote their children. I've got to sit the two of them down to discuss that and this "twelve hours in twelve weeks" plan they've got going. Seriously, just because a book says it's possible doesn't mean I'm going to do it!
Well, my sister is trying to climb into my bassinet again, so I need to get going ... happy Saturday!

I know, I know ... this should be a cute picture of me from today, the 19th of July. Well, here's the problem - dad is so busy with work right now, he hasn't been able to upload recent pictures of me. I mean, the nerve! That and he insists on bottle feeding me for my 8 pm feedings now. At least it is breastmilk; I'd just spit up formula.
However, I have gotten dad to promise that he will upload photos of Papa and Mimi this weekend, as well as from our big surprise trip on the 4th of July down to the Outer Banks. I tell ya, I could spend all my time at the beach, especially with how nice Mimi & Papa's puppies are. But, only for visits ... I can't wait for the next one in August. It should be a lot of fun, and I get to meet so many new people ... this time mom and dad even figured out that on the trip down at least they should split the drive into two days. That should make things easier all around. Oh, yea, and happy month birthday to me!

| Well, today I got to meet Uncle Andy, and I can't tell you how excited I was! I knew I was in for some good snuggling, and we also went to Riverside Park for the first time. Of course, the parents forgot the camera for that outing, but they are getting better about things like that. Needless to say, Uncle Andy and I got along from the start, and I really appreciated him making the trip down from Boston. I can't wait to meet Aunt Susan, but for now, I think it might be time for a nap!

Today we headed home form the hospital, and was I ever glad to get out of that place! The nurses were trying to feed me that formula stuff, but I'll tell ya, there's nothing quite like breast milk. I don't care what they say, it's the best. I was in quite a stupor today as mom, dad & Aunt DeAnna (who was there to help take ma home and document the trip form the hospital) dealt with crabby nurses and hailing a cab. But, once I got home and got to meet my big sister, Cleo, things started looking up. Grandma Suzanne and Grandpa Tim were there too, so we all got to spend the day together getting settled in.
